Born in Bulgaria, Greta Ilieva has spent the majority of her life living and working in London. Her appreciation for photography started young, when spending time in the darkroom with her mother who was also a photographer, although apprehensive to follow in her footsteps at first.
Greta’s work challenges the stereotypes of relationships, sexuality and inanimate objects, as well as finding inspiration and capturing the fine line between reality and illusion. She has photographed people from all walks of life, using photography as language which captures their intimacy and reality.
