Greta Ilieva’s photographic work challenges the stereotypes of relationships, sexuality and inanimate objects, finding inspiration in and capturing the fine line between reality and illusion. Through her lens, photography becomes a language of intimacy - revealing the quiet truths and emotional depth of the subjects she captures. Greta has photographed people from all walks of life, using photography as a language to capture their reality.
Born in Bulgaria, Greta’s passion for photography began early, spending time in the darkroom with her mother who was also a photographer. She now lives and works in London.
